The Arbors Summerlin is a 1,300 acre village located on elevated topography just east of the 215 beltway delivering unparalleled Las Vegas city views. The Howard Hughes Corporation commenced development on The Arbors village in 1996.
The Arbors Summerlin is home to several schools; College of Southern Nevada, Bob and Sandy Miller High Tech Center at Summerlin, Palo Verde Public High School, Sig Rogich Public Middle School, E.W. Staton Public Elementary School, and Creative Kids Learning Center a child care facility.
There are four worship sites in The Arbors Summerlin; Desert Springs United Methodist Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hindu Temple and Cultural Center, and New Hope Lutheran Church.
The Arbors Tennis and Play Park features five outdoor lighted tennis courts with a pro shop and a lighted basketball court. A play area with a toddler tricycle track known as "Arborville" will surely excite the children. The Arbors Sports Park features an Olympic-sized swimming pool that is owned and operated by the City of Las Vegas, as well as numerous sports fields. Tree Top Park in The Arbors features T-ball fields, a picnic pavilion and children's play area. All of these parks are linked by Arbors Paseo Park, a linear park featuring walkways, grassy areas and shaded seating areas.
The Veterans Memorial Leisure Services Community Center is a 45,000 square foot recreation and cultural facility is the first city-owned and operated community center in Summerlin. The Center's amenities include 20,000 square feet of classroom and workshop space, a full-court gym, fitness area with cardiovascular and strength equipment, a dance/aerobics area, game room, and play room.
